Chairing the 5th session of the National Steering Committee tasked with delivering on Vietnam’s commitments made at the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), PM Chinh, who is also its head, underscored the necessity of pooling global resources, green financing, and transferring technology and expertise

Mr. Chinh asked members of the steering committee to evaluate Vietnam’s progress toward its COP26 commitments, particularly its implementation of the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) and the Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC).

He proposed solutions to ensure success, such as refining the legal framework to facilitate investment in energy transition.
