He was taking part in the assembly session on Thursday to discuss practical dialogue relations and cooperation in all areas. The ASEAN and India aimed to narrow development gap and promote the building of the ASEAN community while strengthening sub-Mekong cooperation. The Prime Minister was speaking during his meeting with Vietnamese Embassy staff and local Vietnamese representatives the same day:“Vietnam and India expect to generate 4.3 billion dollars from two-way trade revenue this year and 7 billion dollars by 2015. Vietnam needs to lower trade deficit with India through market expansion and investment promotion. The Vietnamese mission in India should boost investment in Vietnam, especially in tourism.”
