Speaking at an online meeting with leaders of Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong provinces on Saturday, the PM stressed that, given the unprecedented damage caused by the historic storm and flooding, ensuring safe housing for residents is now the top priority.
Under the campaign, accommodation for flood victims must be secured by January 10, 2026; repairs to damaged houses must be completed by the end of this year; and construction of new homes must be finished by January 31, 2026.

The Government has so far allocated 80 million USD to support the four affected localities, he said.
PM Chinh also urged Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong to draw lessons from the recent disaster to strengthen preparedness and response measures ahead of Typhoon Koto, the 15th storm to form in the East Sea this year.
