PM extends Tet wishes to engineers, workers at Hanoi’s urban railway project site

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised the working spirit of the officers, engineers and especially the 800 workers at the urban railway project line 3, Nhon-Hanoi Station section, who are working throughout Lunar New Year (Tet) holidays.

During his visit to the project site in Hanoi on Monday, Prime Minister Chinh emphasized that construction progress is a testament to the determination to overcome difficulties to complete the work as planned, so that the project becomes the pride of Hanoi capital. He asked the units to speed up and work day and night to make up for the recent delay.

The Prime Minister requested that foreign contractors ensure project quality, technique, aesthetics, and labor safety, develop human resources and transfer technology to Vietnam.

Hanoi's pilot urban railway project, Nhon-Hanoi Station section, marks an important step forward in developing the city's transport infrastructure. The overall project has been 78% finished, the elevated section progress has reached 99%, and the underground section 41%.
