 Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conducts inspection tour of Phu Quoc |
During his inspection tour in Phu Quoc district, Kien Giang province on Saturday, the Prime Minister stressed the need to work on port planning and develop modern, green ports in Phu Quoc island city. He highlighted the importance of expanding the Phu Quoc International Airport amid the growing demand for air transportation.
Chinh congratulated Safari Phu Quoc for receiving the world record "Island Safari with the Highest Species Diversity and Largest Number of Individuals in the World" awarded by the World Record Unions (WorldKings). The PM insisted on the need to preserve biodiversity and ecological balance when developing tourism under the forest canopy.
PM Chinh also visited the Medical Center and the site planned for the construction of the Phu Quôc waste treatment plant before visiting the Duong Dong freshwater reservoir and paying tribute to fallen soldiers at the Phu Quoc Martyrs’ Cemetery.
