PM chairs Government meeting on law making for February

(VOVWORLD) - The Government on Tuesday held a law-making session chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, who said the 11 contents under discussion are all important, difficult, and complex, and have a great impact on building a uniform and modern legal system as well as unleashing resources for development.

The PM added that investing in law-making is investing in development. He requested a careful review to ensure that law-making and law enforcement are open, transparent, and close to reality.

In addition to law-making, the Prime Minister stressed the need to develop and promulgate decrees to guide enforcement so that the law can truly and quickly come to life.

Participants discussed five bills, five law-building proposals and a law, and ordinance building program. 

The five bills are the draft Law on People's Air Defense; draft Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Supporting Tools (revised); draft Law on Cultural Heritage (revised); draft law on the amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations; and draft law on the amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Pharmacy Law.

The proposals of building five laws are the Diplomatic Ranks Law; Aviation Law (revised); Railway Law (revised); Law on Geology and Minerals; and Law on Digital Technology Industry.
