Prime Minister Chinh on Saturday chaired a conference to review the implementation of the social housing development target for the first seven months of 2025 and plans for the remaining five months of the year.

This is a humane policy of the Party and State, ensuring social security, progress and equity; protecting human rights and civil rights; supporting the disadvantaged and the young; and being the driving force for development, PM Chinh said.

“The tasks and solutions from now until the end of 2025 are to strive to achieve the target of 100,000 social housing units. No matter how difficult it is in the current conditions, we must do it with high determination and drastic actions. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City need to actively develop social housing; have policies to develop social housing for the armed forces; and promote the participation of the entire political system,” Mr. Chinh said. 

As part of the 1 million affordable apartments project for 2021-2030, 633,560 apartments have been built or under construction so far.
