Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh made the statement at the government’s regular meeting for November to review Vietnam’s socio-economic situation in November and the first 11 months of 2023, the socio-economic recovery and development program and the allocation and disbursement of public investment capital.

High on the agenda was also the implementation of three national target programs to build new rural areas, socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountain areas, and sustainable poverty reduction.

The Government created a draft resolution on key tasks and solutions to realize the socio-economic development plan and the state budget estimate for next year.

The Prime Minister asked agencies at all levels, sectors, and localities to do their utmost to achieve this year's targets.

Government members were urged to focus on direction and administrative work and pay close attention to events and promptly respond to any arising issues.

Reports from ministries and sectors showed that Vietnam's socio-economy has continued to prosper, and state revenue in the first 11 months reached 95% of the estimate. Trade continued to rally, with November exports increasing 6.7%. Energy and food security were maintained. Both registered and disbursed FDI capital were the highest since 2020.

This year, more than 200,000 businesses entered or re-entered the marketplace, up 3.5% from last year.
