Three weeks have passed without any new infections in the community, he said, adding that Vietnam has largely contained the pandemic, which enables the resumption of daily activities.
Mr. Phuc said: “Every person and business can gradually get back to normal life and socio-economic activities, considering quick economic recovery and national construction top priorities of all sectors. But we should not be negligent to the Covid-19. We have eased some restrictions. We continue measures to present the Covid-19 from entering Vietnam. All foreigners coming to Vietnam are subject to concentrated quarantine, except experts, high-skilled workers, and investors who will take suitable self-quarantine.”
The Prime Minister has asked the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Committees to maintain tasks forces for Covid-19 to forecast and collect data to identify early cases of Covid-19 in the community in order to quickly contain the epidemic.
Mr. Phuc agreed with the Ministry of Education and Training that pupils don’t have to wear face masks in classrooms but should still apply other hygienic measures.
Considering recommendations of Ministries, localities, and sectors, the Prime Minister agreed to open some trade services, excluding discotheques and karaoke.
