In an interview with the al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper on Thursday, Mr. Saeb Erekat, said the final decision would be announced after Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas concludes consultations with Arab leaders this month. President Abbas is expected to meet with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Sunday and attend an Arab League conference in Saudi Arabia next week. Mr. Erekat said the previous meetings of the Palestinian National Council and PLO Executive Committee called for the reconsideration of security and national defense relations between PLO and Israel.
