The plan aims to upgrade facilities, enhance the capacity of in-depth research, and promote comprehensive research on population and development to implement solutions towards the goals set out in Vietnam's population strategy until 2030.

Accordingly, the number of organizations qualified to do research on population and development is expected to be from 2 to 5 in the next 5 years, and up to 8 by 2030. Vietnamese scientific and technological researches on population and development and specialized biomedical technologies in health care for the elderly are expected to meet world-class level.
