The exhibition, chaired by Bulgarian Vice President Iliana Iotova and the Vietnamese Ambassador to Bulgaria Nguyen Thi Hong Oanh, featured a number of photos and documents connected with President Ho Chi Minh's historic visit to Bulgaria in 1957, his life and revolutionary career, as well as the cause of national construction and defence of the Vietnamese people in the 20th and early 21st century.

The exhibition also  introduced legal evidence of Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.

Vice President Iotova said her mother witnessed President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Bulgaria 60 years ago. To her generation, President Ho Chi Minh was always distinguished by his modesty, simplicity and great personality. During his stay in Bulgaria, President Ho Chi Minh met local people and visited kindergartens, schools, and farms.

At the seminar, Vietnamese and Bulgarian scholars discussed ways to foster better relations between the two countries.
