At a meeting to review the Union’s work and decide future activities in Hanoi on Tuesday, the Union summarized its role in co-organizing national diplomatic events, including the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Vietnamese President To Lam with the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association and Vietnamese alumni in Russia.
It also organized the 45th anniversary of the victory in protecting Vietnam’s Southwestern border and joining the Cambodian army and people to defeat the genocidal regime, the "Meet Korean friends" event during the Prime Minister's official visit to South Korea, "Friendly meeting of Vietnamese and Chinese people" during the National Assembly Chairman's visit to China, and the Vietnam-China People's Forum in Hunan, China.
Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Phan Anh Son, said that people’s diplomacy will continue to be widely coordinated to contribute to Vietnam’s external affairs.
