Party leader To Lam and PM Pham Minh Chinh present gifts to the coal sector, Quang Ninh, January 27, 2026. |
He urged the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group to continue paying close attention to workers’ housing and welfare, noting that this is a shared responsibility of enterprises, trade unions, and local authorities. A safe, civilized, and cohesive living environment, he said, will help workers feel secure in long-term employment.
“Labor productivity is the foundation of growth and the sustainable basis for raising workers’ incomes. The entire sector must continue to renovate production, accelerate mechanization and automation, and promote the application of science and technology and digital transformation in mine management and operations,” Party leader Lam said.
Safety and discipline are mandatory requirements in production, aimed at reducing resource losses and improving efficiency, he stressed, adding that productivity growth must go hand in hand with income growth and improved living conditions for workers.
On the same day, the Party General Secretary offered incense and flowers at the national historical site commemorating President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to the Deo Nai mine.
