Mr. Trong made the statement at a ceremony to celebrate the 190th founding anniversary of the province, 80th founding anniversary of Provincial Party Committee and 25 years of re-establishing Hung Yen province and to receive the First-class Labor Order on Sunday.

He emphasized that Hung Yen with a small natural area and small population has many potentials and advantages for rapid and sustainable development. In order to successfully implement the set goals, tasks, programs and plans, the province needs to improve the business investment environment, productivity, quality and competitiveness of enterprises, he added.

Party General Secretary Trong suggested that the province pay special attention to preserving and developing an advanced culture imbued with national identity, and promoting the unique cultural and historical values of the cradle of Vietnamese cultural family movement.

The province needs to well implement social security policies, sustainable poverty reduction measures, ensure social justice, take care of the people’s life, and enhance the quality of education – training and science – technology, Mr. Trong said, adding efforts should be made to improve health care, medical examination and treatment for people from the grassroots level amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.
