At the meeting, the Party leader congratulated Cambodia for successfully organizing its general election and the victory of the CPP.

The Vietnamese Party leader said Vietnam supports Cambodia’s national construction and development and believes Cambodia will continue to gain achievements implementing the CPP Platform for the 2023-2028 Period and the strategy adopted by the Government.

Party leader Trong urged Vietnam and Cambodia to consider political ties the core of bilateral ties, strengthen cooperation in national defense, security, and diplomacy, and create breakthroughs and improve cooperation in economics, culture, education, science, technology, and people-to-people exchanges.

Prak Sokhonn said Cambodia will continue to work closely with Vietnam to effectively implement treaties, agreements, and conclusions adopted by leaders of the two parties and States. He promised to do his utmost to foster the Cambodia-Vietnam relationship.

Earlier, Mr. Prak Sokhonn held talks with Head of the Party Central Committee’s External Relations Commission Le Hoai Trung, where they discussed the external relations of their countries and the bilateral ties between their two Parties and States.
