Mr. Trong, who is also head of the committee, told their 12th meeting in Hanoi on Monday: “The support of all people has encouraged us to address corruption cases more resolutely and effectively. Even an incumbent Politburo member was disciplined. Progress in the battle against corruption has won people’s trust and prevented any distortion by hostile forces”.   

Party leader Trong asked for prompt inspection, clarification of the causes and responsibilities, and strict handling of organizations and individuals accountable for big loss-making projects. The committee pointed out focal tasks for the rest of the year, including the implementation of anti-corruption regulations and advancement in settling of grassroots-level violations.
