During a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the Party leader Lam said Vietnam attaches special importance to the traditional friendship and is ready to cooperate closely with Russia to elevate the relationship. Mr. Lam urged both sides to continue to strengthen their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

PM Mishustin said Russia considers Vietnam one of its top priority partners in the Asia-Pacific region, adding that the visit will deepen their traditional friendship and their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen political trust and expand bilateral cooperation in multiple areas including energy, trade, investment, defense, transportation, and high tech. They agreed to strengthen cooperation between ministries, sectors, localities, and enterprises; remove trade and investment barriers; and promote joint energy, industry, high-tech agriculture, logistics, and digital transformation projects.
PM Mishustin said the Russian Government will coordinate with the Vietnamese Government to implement decisions adopted at the highest level.
