This is the first project to be implemented following the Politburo’s approval of the policy to invest in building schools for border communes nationwide. It reflects the special attention of the Party and State of Vietnam to the cause of education and training, especially in remote, mountain, ethnic minority, and border areas.
The Si Pa Phin Primary and Secondary School is designed to house 31 classes, providing educational opportunities for over 1,000 primary and secondary school students. The campus will include classrooms, specialized subject rooms, dormitories, a multipurpose hall, library, sports fields, a swimming pool, and more with a total investment of approximately 8.8 million USD.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the Party and State always regard education as a top national priority and a key driver for the country’s sustainable development. He urged the local Party committees, authorities, and organizations to continue supporting families with school-age children, encouraging parents to send their children to school regularly, and ensuring that students receive a proper education. He also emphasized the need to connect school building efforts with preserving cultural identity, integrating academic education with moral education, and nurturing patriotism and values of humanity.
General Secretary To Lam also attended the inauguration ceremony of a newly built house replacing a dilapidated house for Mr. Ly A Chong’s family in Nam Chim hamlet, Na Sang commune, and presented gifts to 10 local policy beneficiary families.
