Inspecting the commune’s Public Administrative Service Center, General Secretary To Lam said the core function of the newly-restructured grassroots government is not merely administrative,  but the local government, on behalf of the State, needs to actively implement the Party’s policies and create conditions to improve people’s lives.

He stressed: “Our next task is to continue creating favorable conditions for the people to lead prosperous, stable lives, and to bring the Party's resolutions and conclusions into practice at the grassroots level.”

Looking ahead, the General Secretary called on local authorities to focus on implementing socio-economic development, national defense, and security strategies from the Central and Provincial levels, and give priority to poverty alleviation, improving the quality of life of ethnic minorities and local residents. Special attention, he said, should be paid to hunger eradication, healthcare, education, vocational training, and cultural enrichment, ensuring that no one is left behind.
