(VOVworld)-Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong on Friday visited Ho Chi Minh City to examine the implementation of the Party Politbureau resolution on urgent issues in Party building.

He asked the city to renovate growth models and economic restructuring towards socialist oriented market economy. He called for more personnel training and infrastructure development to achieve early modern industrialization in the city: “Pursuant to the Party resolution and socio economic development strategy, drastic measures and instruction should be issued so that the city would become a modern, industrial and socialist city by 2020.”

The Party leader called for solid moves in Party building to facilitate socio economic development to energize the Party strength. He visited District 8 where many major urban development projects are underway.
