At a working session on Thursday with the provincial Party Committee on the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the 19th provincial Party Congress as well as key tasks for 2025, the Party leader said growth must be grounded in science, technology, and human capital.

He said that in the context of rapid global transformation driven by artificial intelligence, the digital economy, energy transition, and shifting geopolitical dynamics, Nghe An province must pursue a sustainable development. It's important to ensure a stable, secure, and conducive environment that supports growth and enhances the quality of life for its people with the Party playing a central role in all decisions.
"At the same time, the province needs to maintain national defense and security, continue streamlining the administrative apparatus, in line with Resolution 18 to ensure it is lean, efficient, and effective. In this regard, Nghe An should also accelerate the implementation of a two-tier government model," said the Party leader.
Reporting to General Secretary To Lam, Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung said the province is on track to achieve 19 out of 21 key targets set by the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress and achieve average gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth rate of 7.89% from 2021 to 2024.

The same day, the Party leader visited and presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese Le Thi Sau in Vinh city, and families and individuals with meritorious services to the nation, met with officials and workers at the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, and donated STEM classrooms to teachers and students at Kim Lien High School in Nam Dan District.
Also on Thursday, General Secretary To Lam laid a wreath and offered incense at Chung Son Temple, the ancestral temple of President Ho Chi Minh. He also paid tribute at the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, visited the house of Nguyen Sinh Nham (President Ho Chi Minh’s grandfather), and toured the Sen Village Library.
