Party chief urges greater efforts to promote innovation, digital transformation

(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary To Lam has urged leaders of agencies, units and localities to strengthen direction and translate Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW into reality, in line with their specific conditions, while expanding training in science, technology, innovation, and digital skills for civil servants, and fostering a culture of innovation across the political system.

Chairing a meeting of the standing board of the Central Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation in Hanoi on Thursday, General Secretary Lam, who is head of the steering committee, said: "The Ministers of Finance; Science and Technology; Education and Training; Public Security; Home Affairs; Agriculture and Environment, along with relevant agencies, need to remove obstacles in implementing the tripartite cooperation model between the State, academic/research institutions, and enterprises to develop smart cities and high-tech zones."

The General Secretary also directed the Ministry of Science and Technology to proactively coordinate with relevant ministries and sectors to improve institutional frameworks and legal regulations to attract domestic and foreign talent and prepare high-quality human resources to effectively implement Resolution 57 of the Politburo.

Earlier, Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission, chaired a ceremony to announce the National Advisory Council of the Central Steering Committee on Science and Technology Development, Innovation, and Digital Transformation. The council is chaired by Le Hoai Trung, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office.
