At a meeting in Hanoi on Monday with 200 delegates representing artists nationwide, the core force in creating and disseminating national culture, General Secretary Lam affirmed that artists have made many particularly important contributions to the Party's revolutionary cause and the nation’s prosperity.

He pointed out that many generations of famous artists have spread the revolutionary spirit to all parts of the country, praised the bravery and encouraged the fighting spirit of the army and people on the battlefield. All these have left a deep impression on the public and been a valuable cultural heritage, helping future generations better understand the value of independence, freedom and the sacrifice of their predecessors.
