Party leader Trong on Wednesday received a high-ranking Lao military delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Chansamone Chanyalath, who is on an official visit to Vietnam and attends the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2022.

At the meeting, Mr. Trong urged for the two defense ministries’ close coordination to effectively implement the protocols, programs and plans on cooperation, continue to amplify the historical significance and importance of the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos in the whole army.

Party General Secretary Trong thanked Laos for its army’s solidarity, bonding, and support for Vietnam and affirmed the meaning of the special relationship between with Laos.

The Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister said that in any circumstances, the Lao Ministry of National Defense will work closely with the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense to successfully accomplish the tasks assigned by the two Parties, States and peoples.
