Mr. Trong said amidst many difficulties and challenges, the Party and State leaders have made appropriate and timely decisions to guide the Party, the State, and the people to success and fulfil the set targets.

He said the achievements gained by Vietnam were partly attributable to the contributions made by former leaders.

The Party General Secretary said he hopes that former Party and State leaders will make further contributions to the revolutionary cause in Vietnam.
