In his closing remarks at the 13th Party Central Committee’s meeting on Monday in Hanoi, Party leader Lam stressed the highest political determination in implementation, considering this a particularly important task, a revolution in streamlining the apparatus, and requiring high unity in awareness and action throughout the Party and the entire political system.

It must be conducted objectively, democratically and scientifically with  urgency but caution, uphold principles, and receive practical reviews, experts’ opinions, and foreign experience. General Secretary Lam requested that policies be well implemented for those affected by the apparatus reorganization.

“The task of streamlining the organizational structure is difficult, sensitive, and complex as it directly affects each person in each organization. Therefore, it requires solidarity, strong determination, courage and even the sacrifice of personal interests for the common good."

Party General Secretary Lam added the Party Central Committee reached unanimity on the re-start of the nuclear power program and the continuation of research on the Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Project.
