They said the theme—“Parliamentary diplomacy for a cohesive and responsive ASEAN Community”—was important to the region and encouraged a frank and effective exchange between delegates on solving problems, containing the COVID-19 pandemic, and promoting cooperation and development within the ASEAN Community. They agreed that AIPA-41’s good results will strengthen AIPA partnerships and AIPA-ASEAN cooperation. Chuan Leekpai, Chairman of Thailand’s National Assembly, said he believes these cooperative links will boost the ASEAN Community’s status.
