(VOVworld) - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Saturday that a new cabinet would swear in on June 2nd in Ramallah. His decision was made after the two factions Hamas and Fatah had reached an agreement on the cabinet line-ups and Fatah withdrew its objection against Hamas’s Foreign Minster Riay Al Maliki, who continues to maintain his position in the new cabinet.
President Abbas has tried to avoid changes in Palestinian Foreign Ministry in the current sensitive context. The new cabinet is expected to have up to 17 ministers headed by new Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah.
