(VOVworld) - Pakistan's military said Friday that the death toll from an accident in which a train plunged into a canal because of a bridge collapse has risen to 12, with 100 others injured and 4 missing. The train derailed Thursday while crossing the Chanawan canal near the industrial city of Gujranwala in eastern Punjab province. The train was en route from Punno Akal to Kharian Cantt in Gujrat city, carrying soldiers, some of them traveling with their families. No explosive devices were found on the train and the authorities have ruled out any terror link to the accident.
