Branches of the Vietnamese People’s Association in Korea’s major cities organized Tet programs reflecting the Vietnamese culture.
On Tuesday, the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia held a banquet where Ambassador Thach Du expressed his thanks to overseas Vietnamese, businesses, agencies, Cambodian and international friends who have helped the Embassy fulfill its assignments over the past year.
Last Sunday, overseas Vietnamese, Vietnamese staff, students, and postgraduates in Singapore attended a Tet celebration. Ambassador Nguyen Tien Minh said Singapore, Vietnam’s 6th biggest trading partner and 3rd biggest investor, has made great contributions to the development of bilateral ties.
In the New Zealand capital of Wellington, Ambassador Nguyen Viet Dung told a gathering of nearly 400 Vietnamese nationals that the two countries are targeting 1 billion USD in trade this year when they will celebrate the 40th anniversary of their diplomatic ties.
In Venezuela, Ambassador Ngo Tien Dung briefed attendees at the annual Tet meeting on Vietnam’s achievements in the social, economic, and diplomatic fields last year and the key targets for this year. Ambassador Dung affirmed the determination of the Vietnamese government and people to boost comprehensive relations and cooperation with Venezuela, especially in agriculture, investment, and trade.
