(VOVworld) – An online competition for the 2014-2015 school year on smart traffic was launched in Hanoi on Monday. The competition aims at improving traffic law compliance, introducing new laws on road traffic, and teaching civilized behavior in traffic situations for students. The competition was organized by the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Khuat Viet Hung, Deputy Head of the National Traffic Safety Committee, said: “When traffic law obedience is formed at this early age, for sure, Vietnam will have a generation of global citizens who will better comply with traffic laws and show improved traffic behavior. The online competition on smart traffic is a new approach for students to learn about the rules of the road.”
Prizes in the competition will total 20,000 USD.
