Speaking at a White House press conference on Thursday, he said that one of the reasons for increasing mass shootings in the US is the barriers to toughening gun ownership laws. This was the 14th statement that Obama has made on rampages that have occurred during his presidency.
US authorities said 21-year-old Dylann Roof, the suspected killer, was arrested 350 kilometers from the scene, one day after the shooting.
