But Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said it still cannot say anything about the contents of the talks because they were held behind closed doors.
Earlier Peskov said that the main topic was the state of affairs around Ukraine. But he didn’t rule out that gas issues could be high on their discussion because this is a pressing topic for Austria.
Nehammer became the first European leader to hold talks with Putin since the armed conflict in Ukraine began. He already met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv.
