Last week the National Intelligence Service of South Korea (NIS) said North Korea’s spies had succeeded in hacking the mobile phones of national security officials.
In response, Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of the Workers’ Party of Korea, ran an article on Sunday saying that Seoul’s accusation is being used for political purposes and accusing the South of making the cyber attack claim to justify a new “anti-terrorism” law that will allow NIS to increase Internet monitoring.
