The newspaper said North Korea is working with its embassy in Beijing to set a schedule with the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Xi’s visit is scheduled to take place in June following a meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in May.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said President Xi is ready to maintain regular communications with Mr. Kim through meetings, special envoys, and letters. Last month, Kim met President Xi during an extraordinary visit to Beijing.
