North Korea calls for warm climate of reconciliation

(VOVWORLD) - North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un pledged to promote a warm climate of reconciliation and dialogue with South Korea after his high-level delegation returns from a visit to the South. 

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) quoted Kim as saying it is important to continue to advance the warm climate of reconciliation and dialogue created by the common will of the two Koreas at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyongchang.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said it is up to North Korea to decide when it is ready to engage in serious and meaningful diplomatic talks with the US. US Vice President Mike Pence said the US and South Korea are willing to continue diplomatic activities with the North and the US is ready to sit down and talk with North Korea without preconditions.
