No COVID-19 infections reported in military

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese soldiers have been deployed in more than 140 quarantine areas and helped more than 66,000 people, the Defense Ministry told an online conference on Tuesday on ways to cope with the Covid-19 epidemic.

Military units have ensured regulations on cross-contamination prevention, provided sufficient necessities and meals for quarantined people. No infections have been reported in the military so far.  Deputy Defense Minister Tran  Don said: "The High Command of Border Soldiers has worked closely with military zones and relevant agencies to inspect border crossings. Those who have no ID are not allowed to enter the country. In case of infections reported in neighboring countries, border soldiers will cooperate with military zones to manage the entry of people, prevent congestions, and organize necessary quarantine."
