(VOVworld) – The spokesperson for the Nigerian Defense Ministry Chris Olukolade has dismissed claims by the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, that the sect has created a “caliphate” in Gwoza after bringing it under its control. He said the claim was groundless, stressing that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Borno state remained intact and operations to secure the area from the activities of the bandits were still ongoing.
