(VOVworld) - The Central Highlands-Da Lat National Tourism Year 2014 has attracted 6 million visitors and generated a revenue of over 500 million USD to the tourism sector, a 12% increase over last year. The information was unveiled at the closing ceremony held in Da Lat city in the central highlands province of Lam Dong on Saturday. In his closing address, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh said: “Central highlands provinces contributed significantly to the festival’s success. It has left a good impression on visitors, helping to promote tourism development, environmental protection, and sustainable growth.”

The next national tourism year will be held in Thanh Hoa province.
