In his opening remarks, NA Vice Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that last year the People's Councils made great efforts and innovations implementing statutory tasks in response to the requirements in each locality.

"The provincial-level People’s Councils have made constructive changes to their oversight activities, especially after the NA Standing Committee issued Resolution No. 594 last year. The People's Councils have affirmed their role as local State authoritative agencies that represent the people's will, aspirations, and right of mastery," Man said.
