National Assembly elects three new vice chairmen

(VOVWORLD) -Deputies to the 14th National Assembly elected three vice chairpersons of the legislative body during its plenary session in Hanoi on Thursday.

Voting results showed Tran Thanh Man, a Politburo member and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Nguyen Khac Dinh, a member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Khanh Hoa provincial Party Committee, and Nguyen Duc Hai, a member of the Party Central Committee and head of the NA Committee for Finance and Budgetary Affairs, have become new Vice Chairmen of the NA.

A resolution on the election of the three vice chairmen of the legislative body was voted by 455 out of 456 deputies present at the plenary session.

Vietnamese people will cast their ballots on May 23 this year to elect a new 5-year-term National Assembly.
