National Assembly Chairman receives Australian leaders

(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue told Minister for Trade and Tourism and Special Minister of State Don Farrell during their meeting on Wednesday that both countries should hold trade ministerial dialogue to promote bilateral trade, economic and investment ties on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties next February. 

The Chairman also called for the finalization of a memorandum of understanding on ministerial level dialogue mechanism in trade, energy and mining. 

During a reception for Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and deputy leader of the Labor Party, Richard Marles, Chairman Hue welcomed Australia’s active support for Vietnam in its UN peace keeping mission activities and Australia’s timely support for Vietnam’s Defense Ministry in Covid-19 pandemic control.

Deputy Prime Minister Marles said Australia would send naval vessel to visit Vietnam’s military ports as well as early mechanism for defense ministerial dialogue and information sharing in national security for the mutual benefits.
