Opening the conference, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said the debate of bills by full-time NA deputies is necessary to improve them, especially those that deal with complicated issues. She said: “The draft revised anti-corruption law plays a crucial role. We need to address new problems in the fight amidst Vietnam’s international integration. Opinions of the full-time deputies attending this conference will help to fine tune the bill.”

Draft adjustments to the Law on Higher Education were selected for discussion at this conference because of great public interest. The revision seeks more authority for university to improve tertiary education quality and enhance Vietnam’s competitiveness
