Speaking at the meeting in Havana, Chairman Hue urged the ambassador, the Embassy, the business community, and students to thoroughly understand the special, exemplary and faithful solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Cuba. He suggested that businesses continue to pioneer in high-tech agricultural production and microbiology food industry as Cuba's potential remains huge.

“In the past resistance wars and national construction, the Cuban Party and State leaders and people gave invaluable help, both in wealth and in spirit, to Vietnam. During those years of war, only one leader in the world set foot in Quang Tri, the land of fierce fighting, which has great symbolic value. He was Fidel Castro and his famous quote "For Vietnam, Cuba is ready to give its own blood" is an eloquent proof of this relationship. Cuba is not a great power but a power of benevolence, Chairman Hue said.

"Cuba has supported us with medical supplies and equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic, and today Cuba has sent tens of thousands of doctors and nurses to the Americas. This island nation is resilient as it always stands firm in the face of all storms. The more difficult Cuba is, the more we have to show solidarity and how to continue to bolster this especially faithful and pure friendship.”

Later on Tuesday, National Assembly Chairman Hue visited the Fidel Castro Ruz Center, a place to collect, store, preserve and honor the legacy of the Cuban Commander-in-Chief for the purposes of research and popularize his ideological values.

Chairman Hue noted in the guest book, "In the heart of every Vietnamese, Fidel Castro is a noble image of a staunch revolutionary soldier, a great friend, and a close comrade with faith, love, admiration, and sympathy, just like the relations of special, faithful, pure and rare friendship and solidarity in the ties between the Parties, States and peoples of the two countries Vietnam and Cuba.”
