As Vietnam and Iran celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations, the three-day visit aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in politics, diplomacy, economy, culture, education, science, and technology, and fortify the partnership between the two legislative bodies and bilateral ties within regional and global forums.

Le Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the NA’s Committee for Foreign Affairs and President of the Vietnam-Iran Friendship Association, said Mr. Hue’s first official visit to Iran as NA Chairman is an important milestone and a premise for Vietnam and Iran to promote exchanges of the National Assembly, the Council of the Ethnic Affairs, National Assembly committees, young parliamentarians, and parliamentary friendship groups.

The visit will enhance information exchanges and experience sharing in legislative activities, promote the role of the National Assembly in overseeing law enforcement, and implement international treaties and agreements for more effective bilateral cooperation, he added.
