The survey was conducted from last Thursday to Sunday on the Global Advisor online platform among 28,000 adults in 15 countries.
Only Vietnam, China, and India believed in a quick recovery once the lockdown from the coronavirus pandemic is over.
A majority of people in 10 of the 15 countries including Spain, France, and Italy disagreed that the economy would recover quickly – suggesting a lasting impact.
One of the countries most divided on this question is the world’s largest economy – the US with nearly half of those surveyed disagreeing on a quick recovery, while 43 per cent thought it would happen.
