Mr. Dam underlined the harmful effects and consequences of taking drugs and called for efforts to eliminate them.

“All of us must say no to illegal drugs of any form. I hope that we can work together to achieve the goal of no more drug addicts. We will strive to help drug users get rid of this addiction forever,” said Mr. Dam.

This year’s action month in response to the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26 is themed “Thinking before Starting”.

Last month the Prime Minister asked for information to be disseminated on the harmful consequences of taking drugs, particularly methamphetamines, to raise public awareness about the issue.
