(VOVworld) – During the past 65 years of peace and adversity, the friendship and cooperative ties between Vietnam and Hungary have been consolidated and expanded in many fields, contributing to the modernization and development process in each country.
The statement was made by Nguyen Hong Linh, Director of the HCM City Foreign Affairs Office, at a meeting in the city on Wednesday to mark the 65th anniversary of Vietnamese and Hungarian diplomatic ties (February 3). Linh said, under the framework of bilateral cooperation, HCM City always takes the lead in implementing cooperative activities. The city has cooperated with many Hungarian localities, particularly Budapest. Recalling important historical landmarks in bilateral relations, the Hungarian ambassador to Vietnam, Torda Eszter, expressed her desire that the two countries continue to foster friendship and cooperation in future.
