Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai informed of the country's socio-economic and foreign affairs achievements and new developments in Vietnam-China relations, especially the substantive outcomes reached during the reciprocal visits of the two countries' senior leaders last year.

At the meeting, representatives of the Vietnamese community in China expressed their belief in the country's development and the Vietnam-China friendship, and appreciated the community events ahead of Tet holiday, which they see as an opportunity to look forward to their homeland and cherish the nation's traditional culture.

Doan Thu Quynh, an overseas Vietnamese in Beijing, said, “I have lived in Beijing for 13 years and for 12 years I have participated in community gathering for Tet. Every year when I go to the Embassy to this event, I feel so happy to meet many compatriots and students living, studying, and working in Beijing."

"My wish is that I can always go to the Embassy to participate in this cozy Tet get-together to remember my homeland, my roots, and Vietnam," Quynh said.
